I just hit 41 and traveling is a big thing now. The kids are grown up and I have a great job and life is good and it is time to relax and take care of me. Pedicures are nice too.

I used to think 40 was very old!  Thought 30 was old too when I was in my twenties.

Now people live through their eighties and still are actively engaged and doing what young people thought old people wouldn't be doing.

Some important things:

Do things to promote health - eat properly and exercise.

Have something to live for and to enjoy life - people and activities - special person, family and other people to be involved with; fun activities and hobbies.

Devote and invest in career - usually by age 40, people are moving up - they are not green and inexperienced so it's a good time and great opportunity to be productive, have your say and ideas; have some influence on what is going on and what your organization is doing.

Enjoy and appreciate Life !!!

Well I am 40 so what's wrong with it?  It has its advantages.  Advantages-no kids at home.  Get a pet.  All they do is meow-meow.  The house is not as dirty.  Disadvantages- I have a fear of being alone.  So I got closer to my husband but he complains too much.  Go back to school or whatever you like.

Hi, well the best thing id say is, first of all, have a big 40 birthday party bash with all your freinds and family, celebrate in style! you've reached one of those important milestones in life.

I think when you reach your 40's its often a time for reflection on where your life is going and thinking about what persuits and ambitions you want to try and acheive, and of course its nice if you have that special someone in your life to share your future dreams and ambitions with.

I'd say try to live a life without regrets or wishing you had 'done this and done that' instead, or never acheiving your ambitions in life, but most of all 'be happy'
