  1. you can go hiking..if there is a mountain!

    or play flashlight tag!

    How to play:

when it gets really really dark outside everyone hides while you count like hid-and-go-seek.

then the person thats it walks around trying to find them with their flashlight!

but its funner without flashlights sometimes!! lol =]

  2. Bring a fishing rod and catch your dinner then build a campfire and toast marshmallows by the fire while everyone gets a bit merry and tells good spin chilling stories around the fire. All depends to if the company your with are good for a laugh as the best camping trips are the ones you don't plan

  3. There are an endless number of things to do while camping. You can enjoy any of the many related outdoor activities such as hiking, biking, backpacking, canoeing, horseback riding, fishing, swimming, bird watching etc. You could also participate in any number of sports, roller blade and other games. How about outdoor crafts or star gazing. In the winter you could cross country or down hill ski, go snowshoeing or ice skate. Another great idea is to experience something in the area you are staying. Check out the state tourism sites in our Destination section. Many state and national parks have activities or ranger programs. And finally check with the campground where you are staying. Many times they have organized activities or may be able to point out area attractions

Bring a telescope. Bring a small short wave radio. Bring a camera. Bring a pack of cards. Study your field guides for plants and birds and see what you can see on the trip, a knowledge about the history of the area can make things more interesting. After setting up the campsite it's time to go do what you came here to do, "go play!" Whatever your preoccupation is, enjoy! To many campers, myself included, seeing the campsite set up and smelling the country air is a refreshing change from all of the confines of the city. I like to take this time to just sit down, get something cold to drink and relax a spell. It's usually around this time too that the thought goes through my mind, "what did I forget to bring?" It never fails, there's always something useful that gets left behind, like a bottle opener, or the clothes line, or something. "Now where did I put that camping checklist?"

    keep a checklist

Itemize your gear and all the essentials that you use while camping. Depending on when and where you like to camp and what you like to do, the list will be ever changing. But most importantly, use it.

    plan meal times

Whether it's just the two of you or the whole family, let everyone know when it's time to eat before they go running off to play. Meals take more time to prepare at the campground, but it's also one of the chores that everyone seems to want to help out with.

    keep a clean campsite

After meals do a thorough job of cleaning the dishes and the eating area and put all trash in appropriate containers. Never leave food or leftovers unattended at the campsite, because critters will make quick use of it and usually leave quite a mess in the process.

    observe campground rules

The rules were made so that everyone can enjoy the campground. It only takes one camper from h**l to ruin it for everyone else. Be a good neighbor.

    take a late night walk

Check out the stars, listen to the silence, smell the fresh country air. It doesn't get any better than this.

Now get a good night's sleep and get up and do it all again.

  4. Make a fire and smores then tell stories

  5. well if your over 16 then I would say smores are Over -Rated, talking by the fire is always nice, hiking is fun, ENJOY NATURE, if your over 18 and smoke - then a nice cigar BY THE FIRE (dont burn the place down, be safe with your cigars) is always fun, if your over 21, have some adult beverages.

  6. Chill, read, hike, Their is alots to do.

  7. There are so many to choose from, board games, books, to read, swimming, hiking, bicycling, fishing, video games ( psp),deck of cards, volley ball, baseball, ladder ball is a great game, a game of skill, kinda like horseshoes, but set up different, but there are so many to choose from, but this might give you some ideas, check this out...

  8. Sit around the fire and talk with the other people.

Conversation is becoming a lost art.  I'll bet some of the people are very interesting if you make an effort to talk to them.
