What is the best thing to major in to join the FBI?

I am 19 years old, speak Spanish, and currently in a state college getting my AA (to transfer). I am interested in either special agent or pro staff.

I looked at the FBI during a career day way back in the 7th grade.  They said that they wanted accounting or law degrees - today I would also expect that they would also be interested in languages like Arabic, Farsi, Pashtu, etc.  There may also be interest in certain IT majors.  If you double majored in computer science and accounting, I'd bet they'd be highly interested!

Criminal Justice - Also a degree in communications or english would help. Basically do CJ anLiberalal Art or somethingng... it will give your more of an advantage to get in thereTakeae some martial arts to.

It is not something you apply to it is something you are invited too. I would think Joining the USMC and bagging some insurgents would be more fun.

Not Criminal Justice.  My brother recently had an interview with the FBI and they said they want people who major in accounting, foreign languages or who have a law degree.  They said criminal justice majors are a dime a dozen and that's not what they are looking for.

Criminal justice would be good but it would help to have a few years in the military as well.

My sister has a degree in accounting and went for an interview with the FBI.  They wanted her for the same reason Ron said.  She works for the state of CA (they paid better) and deals with tax evasion issues.

The FBI has many special units and I would assume would be looking for all types of specialties.  Find out what interests you and than research the FBI needs.
