  2. I use neatsfoot oil, but not very often as oil can rot the stitching.  Inbetween times I use a leather conditioner that is readily available from tack stores.

  3. First, be sure to clean and dry the saddle thoroughly.

    Next, you can deep-treat it with oil or saddle conditioner. I prefer Passier's Lederbalsam. It's a little gooey, as you massage it into the leather with your bare hands. However, it will also make your hands quite soft.

    You can use Passier Lederbalsam on all your leather goods: bridles, halters, riding boots, and more.

  4. Uh saddle soap. It is made to oil saddles and leather goods like minks foot oil.
