  1. If you are pre-menopausal you may have a hormone imbalance.  Eating a good diet w/o a lot of sugar or carbos is the first step.  There are OTC items at a health food store (Remifin is commercial but has a very specific level of herb), but it would be best to seek out a naturopath who can monitor you on the pills.  You could try OTC pills and creams, but start in VERY small doses, as these act as drugs in your body!  I didn't have them all the time so I put up with it.  I did go on Loestrin, which is a BCP that suppresses the estrogen in your body (which is causing this) and replaces with a very low, steady dose.  It works--however, that's not alternative.

  2. I would agree with Anna P if this is possibly peri-menopause, however night sweats are a sign of cancer, so if you have fevers, fatigue, and night sweats you should see your doctor immediately.  If you are just a bit sweaty at night then that is different. However, all new symptoms should be worked up before opting for self help treatments.

Take good care hun, I don't mean to scare you.  If it is menopausal here is an article on managing it through diet and lifestyle.  Be sure to avoid heaing foods right before bed...alcohol, sugar, caffeine, and spicy foods.

  3. Sage is the way to go, or at least the thing to try first. Has a great responce for people with sweats and flushes. Get it in capsules and follow directions on bottle.
