One of our candles burned the glass jar it was in and the wax spilled all over and it dried before I could get it up. (On the computer chair)

What can i use to get it off? Anyone know?

Thanks-

  1. Try ironing it covered with some brown paper or thick absorbent paper towel. A low heat setting might be best to be safe.

  2. put some ice cubes in a plastic bag, sit it on top of the wax,it will harden and you will be able to peel it right off.

  3. place a brown paper bag over the wax, then iron the spot. the wax will heat up and the bag will absorb it.

  4. Old time remedy for this is pour boiling water over the spot. This also gets grease stains out of clothes. Rub the spot after you pour the water on it.

  5. Babywipes can get almost anything off of something. Also hot water and a soap of some sort, oil might work but i wouldn't try unless your sure it could work. Before trying these try picking most of it off with your finger or tweezers, a nail file might do something if you get bored.

  6. I would try a blow dryer to melt it again, and then rub at it gently with a warm, soapy sponge... or anything that isn't going to damage the fabric by rubbing it.
