  1. Definitely a pen or a Sharpie. But make sure that it's flowing already and that it does work when it needs to, because if the ink doesn't come out, they can't use it.

  2. The best thing is a Sharpie on the sweet spot.Sharpie has a line of pens that are extra sharp just for autograhps. You ussually can buy these at any stadiums gift shop.Do not use a ball point pen.Talk to any memorabillia collector and they want a crisp clean signature on the sweet spot of the baseball with a SHARPIE.

  3. Without question, a ball point pen.   A sharpie will eventually bleed, and look terrible.

  4. A pen or sharpie.

  5. a ball point pen for sure.

  6. I would use a pen...they last long and the autograph looks good...with a sharpie on a baseball it tends to bleed a little bit so the signature doesn't look as good.

  7. No sharpies. Just a good old fashioned pen will do. Remember: There were no Sharpies in Babe Ruth's day. Try and keep them out of the light. So they don't fade.

  8. Sharpie or a pen that gets deep into baseball fabric, make sure they sign it on sweet spot of ball.

  9. Ballpoint pen.  Period.

Sharpie is the best on cards, but THE the WORST thing to use on a ball.  Within a few years, the ink will dissolve into the ball and you will have nothing but a blank ball again.
