What is the best things to do when your parents are drunk?

my mom is a single parent with triplet. she drinks here and there but sometimes she goes overboard and i mean hella..its like i understand if its when she with her freinds but its not it by herself..i don't know what to do..she keeps calling people just making a fool out of her self..what is the best thing to do as for right now..

How old is her kids?  does she drink a lot when she's alone with the kids? is the father around maybe he can help take care of the kids? sorry if i am being noisy but I was just think of her kids. do you live with her?

My mom drinks as well and she is a mean drunk. I will not allow her around my daughter when she gets drunk. both my parents drink. when they got out of hand and i was old enough to fight back. i was never really worried about her making a fool of herself on the phone my main concern was will she beat my dad up again and will he beat her again? these were the main things that i was scared of that is why i asked about her kids.

Have you tried to talk to your mom? maybe get her to admit she has a problem now and then? i am trying to get my mom into treatment she keeps fighting me. I really wish i knew what to tell you. Just don't get around her when she is drinking. Im sorry, but there is nothing you can do to get her to stop drinking, and there is nothing that will make her stop acting like a fool. You say she drinks alone? She could be developing into an alcoholic. You can try to talk to her, but I can just about guarantee you that she won't listen. The first answerer said that if she loves you, she will stop drinking. Thats 100% untrue. Alcoholics don't care about anyone but themselves. She will always love you, but thats not gonna change what she does. My mom loves me, and I know this, I have talked to her many times.. has this made her stop drinking? Nope! If anything it made it worse! Talk to a counselor or a therapist if you need to.. if you don't want to then find another adult that you trust (aunt, uncle, grandparents?) to talk to about it. Im sorry you're going through this, it sucks huh!? If you ever need to talk, feel free to email me! =)

When your mom gets drunk, hide the phones if possible, and take the car keys! Then go hang in your room for a while.

I usually hide the phones when my dad goes overboard.

Then I hide the knives. And lock myself in my room.

He tends to be an angry drunk.

talk to her and tell her to stop. if she loves you, she will be considerate and respect your feelings. or call a relative and ask them to take to your mom =) good luck

just unhook one of the phones & it will make the rest unworkable

go to your room & lock the door(& try to get some rest).Hopefully she`ll feel better tomorrow.
