What is the best time for getting WorldPerks reservations?

When do tickets free up for WorldPerks frequent flyer reservations? That is, what time and or day of the week is the best time to sign online and attempt to reserve on NW Airlines and its partner airlines because seats have freed up?

They have you snowed if you honestly think 1 or 2 years is how it goes. You switch reward cards if you have to or you link up a credit card to them then you don't wait. Or you start a more general card. Even if there is waiting you call them (actual phone) and get pissy..... you learn the system.

Nobody has a two year wait.

Sorry I took your first answer for the question. In your case the time that you call is not the major issue. It is when you will be able to fly.

The sooner the better.  Some people actually reserve tickets 1-2 years in advance especially to popular destinations.  If you know the dates of travel, book early since the airlines only set aside a small number of seats for those redeeming frequent flyer miles.

WorldPerks awards are released exactly 330 days before your date of travel.  So start counting down =]  If it's already past that, then the earlier you look the better.

And a handy tip:  as you get very close to your date, most of the coach seats will be booked BUT business seats will start to open up.  Awards like this depend mainly on your dates of travel: there are many awards during off-peak times of the year, but those during heavy travel periods (e.g. late summer) get snapped up pretty quickly.
