  1. In the morning is the best..

    around 8am to 10am

  2. Around 4-5pm on Sundays. By then the course is relatively clear of people, and you get cheaper rates.

  3. It depends whether you belong to a course or if you are going to a public course. At a private course, it is better to play earlier, because thats when more people are playing and it is a little cooler out. But, if you are playing at a public course it is better to play a little later in the day because the later it is, the less it will cost to play. It also depends if u would rather walk or ride a cart, because at many courses you cant walk before 2 PM.

  4. any time after 9 am

  5. I would rather earlier than later so I can miss the heat of the day.

    Stay well.

  6. In terms of personal preference, I love to play in the evening and be one of the last people on the course. It's quiet and not very crowded, the air is cooling down and the course always looks its best to me when the sun is setting. It's just fun to keep playing until dark -- I lived in western Ohio for a while and in late June it doesn't get dark until around 10 p.m., that was awesome! Maybe it's also because that is when my dad and I used to play when I was younger so it has some great memories.

  7. Proabally start at like between 10 and 12!

  8. First tee time 6AM, but if you want to save money go to there twilight.

  9. I like to tee off at 10:00 a.m. By this time the greens have been mowed and the dew is off them. I eat lunch at the turn then play the back. If you want the best rates then late in the day or through the week is the best time.

  10. All day long!

  11. T.I.T.A, it all depends on where you play. What works for me won't necessarily work for you. The best advice anyone here could give is to call around and ask the local courses but I imagine that there isn't a universal answer there either. The pros might tell you when NOT to play but that might be best answer you'll get.

Just recently, I had wondered if there was a course out there that bracketed time for specific handicaps. It could be a foolish business decision but it just might work in the right area. Who knows.

  12. Daytime - unless you are a blind golfer, then anytime is OK.

  13. The earlier the better. Beat the heat. Quietest on the course. Not as many hackers to slow you down. Less divots... Aim for the first tee time and enjoy!

    Hit em good!

  14. I prefer about 20 mins to lunch time.

Many other golfers will wait till after lunch or have started way before and are out of the way. That lets me play with less pressure.

Also, the sun is high and not staring at me from down the fairway. I have lost too many balls in the glare of the sun before.

  15. in the morning

  16. All depends on where you live, how crowded the courses are, and how many are available. Most golfers prefer to play in the morning and be finished by noon. I prefer to start a little later .

  17. I play in a really hot, humid place and my weekly 4-ball starts just as soon as the sun come up.  We've even started a few minutes before the sun peeks out.  "Mike, that sounded like a bit of a fade."
