  1. This time of year is when people are taking cuttings, so if you have a friend with a tree, take some cutting (you can take whole breaches) put some rotting powder on it and put it in a pot. I think garden stores will start selling their cuttings once they have taken root and started to get their leaves back, so closer to summer.

  2. As frangipanis are generally selected for their flower colour & fragrance its best to buy them when they are in bloom & you can see & smell that it is the one you want.

When they are in bloom will depend on where in Australia you live.

In the Sydney region most flower around Christmas time.

I have put a link below for an Aussie specialist grower that may be of interest.

  3. Why buy them when you can just break a branch off a tree and take it home and stick it in the ground. It will grow and there's no need for rooting powder, just take off most of the leaves and stick it in the soil.

  4. when its hot, humid and a tropical kind of climate so probably summer and spring.

  5. I live in California and my frangipanis (plumeria) start blooming in May and continue to bloom through out the summer.  I believe Australia is considered to be more tropical than here in CA so I would say blooms should start right before your summer.
