What is the best time of year to go to Mexico?

Internet sites are give me conflicting advice about what the weather will be like in September. Some say that time of year is ideal, others say its a definite no-no. My trip involves us going round mexico (Cancun, Chichen Itza, Palenque, San Cristobal de las Casas, Panajechel, San Jorge, Antigua, Flores, San Ignacio, Caye Caulker, Tulum, Playa del Carmen).

September is still hot and very humid. It's also still hurricane season in that part of the world. Of course the effect of the poor weather is much cheaper rates.

If weather is a big concern, I would wait until November. That being said, I wouldn't let weather be the overriding factor in your decision.
