  1. That's a great time. November to March is my preference!

  2. The weather is great all year round.  In the Summer months it's mostly Mexican tourists, now, until October after the rains the weather is beautiful and everything is so clean, then in October the Canadians and Americans arrive and the weather gets to be perfect so Choose 1 Authentic, 2 Tranquilo. 3. mucho tourista

  3. I went last year the first week of February and found it a great time as it wasn't overrun with Spring Breakers and the prices were low.The weather was hot enough to lay out and swim in the hotel pool everyday but not stifling (as my hotel had no air conditioning)I didn't do  "nightclub" type stuff but on the main drag at night I hit alot of beachside bars that had bands and people but wasn't insanely crowded. More of an older crowd at the places I hit-but I saw plenty of college age kids, too. There are always lots of the VW bug cabs that got us everywhere (we were way out at Hotel Los Flamingos-which is cheap, cool, has an amazing cliff-side pool/bar, good restaurant and an old Hollywood history-don't miss Pozole Night that is held every Thursday night-it's worth the trip for a great Acapulco experience) I saw lots of buses running but wasn't brave enough with my basic Spanish skills to try them out-with the VW cabs that show up at the hotels-negotiate your fare first(ask the usual fare from your hotel staff) and tip well and you might have a "personal driver" at a low cost for your entire trip. I like history and musuems so I enjoyed the fort musuem. Even though my husband and I were the only "gringos"( and have limited Spanish language skills) we really enjoyed a glass bottomed boat tour around the bay-you can catch a super inexpensively priced ticket a few blocks down and across from the Fort. I don't know your previous travel experience in Mexico-but Alcapulco caters more towards Mexican tourists these days-with everyone(in the US) flocking to Cancun/Cozumel. The older Pacific resort towns can seem a little rundown to people expecting Las Vegas type stuff-but if you realize that-you can have a great and a little bit more "authentic" time on the Pacific coast that's easier on the budget if you research it out first! I enjoyed myself and hope you do also!
