  1. Ayurveda, an Indian science of life and health, recommends a very light breakfast or no breakfast, depending on your body type (dosha).

Lunch should be at 12 or 12:30, and should be the main meal of the day, composed of fresh wholesome foods, freshly cooked.

Supper should be at about 6 pm, and should be light, such as soup and bread, a light casserole, or vegetables and fruits.

These recommendations keep your body in tune with the earth's daily cycles, so that you are eating your heaviest meal at the time your body is most ready to use and digest food. For more information see the link below.

  2. There are no fixed timings on the best possible time to have your 3 meals. Instead look to having 5 or 6 meals a day. Yes you hear me. This is especially useful if you are trying to keep fit or lose some weight, as it ensures your sugar levels are continually fueled up so you will not have hunger pangs of any sort and hence overeat in each meal.

But do not rejoice over saying hello to your food 6 times a day. Instead ensure your food portions are smaller than your conventional 3 meals a day routine. See below for an example.

1st meal: Breakfast. Immediately when you wake up. Eg 8 am

    2nd meal: A light meal/snack. Eg 10.30 am

    3rd meal: Lunch. 1pm

    4th meal: A light meal/snack. 3.30pm

    5th meal: Dinner 6pm

    6th meal: A light meal/snack 8pm

  3. When your mother says its ready!

  4. The best diet is actually a small, steady, healthy meal over the course of the day. If you really want to stick to the tradition of Breakfast, Lunch, and Diner. Then I would suggest a routine that best fits your schedule.

  5. breakfast, 6am

    VERY light snack at 10am

    lunch at noon

    Very light snack at 3pm

dinner, well if at home 6pm,

but if going out for a "proper meal"  then  around 8pm, that way you can have a couple of drinks if thats your fancy and still be home early enough to get up and start all over again.

(fast food does not count as a proper meal) in fact it hardly counts as food

  6. Basically, whenever you are hungry but you could say Breakfast between 7-10, lunch between 12-2, and dinner from 5-7.  I would do a second dinner at 9 PM. too. LOL ...    Have a happy meal.

  7. Breakfast: 10AM

    Lunch: 1PM

    Dinner: 7PM

  8. Depends. If you're eating at home, it's whenever you're hungry or have time in your schedule. There's no set time for your meals.

If you're dining out, it's more complicated. I'd say try to go when the restaurant isn't busy or closing (this depends on the restaurant and the habits of your particular town/city). If you go in during busy hours, your server and the cooks might be rushed and slightly inattentive (you aren't their only table, after all) and if you come in 30 minutes before closing, your service will be crappy because the staff has probably been preparing to go home and won't give you the full experience because they're trying to rush you out.

  9. 8am breakfast

    Noon lunch

    6pm dinner

  10. Have breakfast within an hour of getting up - it has been a long time since your body had anything and you need nutrition for body and brain if you are to do a good day's work, whatever it is.

Lunch anytime around midday, ideally wait until you are hungry but dont leave it too late (before 2) else your blood sugar drops.  This should be your main meal if possible.

Dinner should be eaten early evening, and should not be too heavy before sleep or you might get indigestion or weird dreams.  Also you cant work off calories from your dinner if you just chilling in front of tv, but you do need something to tide you over till breakfast.

  11. breakfast - in the Morning

    lunch - ....... Afternoon

    dinner - .....Night
