  1. i have alot of tankmates that take care of the cleaning sand. the best way is to get a sand shifting star fish which will help move the sand and eat the dirt.

also i would get nassuasirus snails. i have a mixture of both onyx and tonga nassuasrius snails. they are easy prey for hermit crabs but they help move the sand and eat dirt in the sand.

fish wise u can go with a sand shifting goby. they tend to get large and annoying with the ammount of sand that is shifted.

  2. Buy two sand sifting starfish. You'll never see them but they will stir up the sand, eat the detritus and keep the sand turned over to allow the rest of your clean up crew a chance to help.
