  1. Whatever the student is passionate about...the rest follows.

  2. What are you asking?  The best subject or course?  The best one to argue in a persuasive paper?  The best way do do HS'ing???

You need to add details before we can correctly answer.

  3. Well, I'd say *life* is the best topic for home-education; in fact, I'd go as far as to say *life* is the only topic you really need in home-ed.

Really, there is no single answer; it depends on what the individual considers to be the 'best' or most relevant or important topic to them, their life, their future and their situation.

What does 'best' mean anyway? I reckon if you ask ten people you'll get ten different answers...and if you ask 100, you'll get 100 different answers...and if you ask 1,000, you'll get...

For instance, 'techteach' may consider the 'best' should 'cover all the academic elements of a curriculum taught in the schools of that state'...whereas, as unschoolers, my siblings, parents and I would all disagree *STRONGLY* with that. In fact I'd say that's the very worst thing any home-educating family can do!

  4. homeschooling has to cover all the academic elements of a curriculum taught in the schools of that state...

  5. If you are writing a paper about homeschooling, I would suggest you stick to the topic of the benefits or advantages of homeschooling.  There is not much information out there on the other side of the issue, mainly because few disadvantages exist.  It will be much easier to write about the positives.

    Good luck!
