What is the best topic for research paper?

I'm really nerves for my high school senior year, i'm not sure what to look up, so please, if you can help me i'd be really happy. I have this topic about ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION, is that a perfect topic????? I have a Comm. App. class and i need a topic to make a search about. it's due in 2 weeks...what should i do?? i'm so afraid to fail this semester...

Maybe you should cut it down a bit, and just focus on one aspect of illegal immigration--otherwise, that's an awful big subject, and you wouldn't be able to really research it--I mean, you could write books about it!   Just one specific aspect, preferably one that interests you.
