What is the best trade an 18 year old girl can take up?

I would like to know about a trade that will not cost a lot and will take a short time to complete

I tried dental assisting--that took 8 months. You can make okay money doing that--perks are usually the best, including free or deeply discounted dental work. Now I'm trying court reporting. You can make $40,000 a year to start with that trade and turn it into broadcast captioning or a job where you work from home. That takes about two years. Another two year degree where you can make $40 an hour--dental hygienist. I guess it all depends on what you like to do.

Get a Microsoft certification. It's a six month course and the pay is big. Some positions will pay up to $70,000 a year, not including vacation time and health benefits.

Computers are the future; you can never go wrong in the CIS field.

Hi. It depends on what you consider a "Trade" and how you define a "short time".

Virtually all the buiilding trades are screaming for new workers. These trades pay very well while you learn. Many union positions start in the 18.00 - 23.00 per hour range plus great benefits which is very good money for a 18 year old.
