What is the best tragic romance novel you've ever read?

Mine are "Ceremony of the Innocent," by Taylor Caldwell & "Evening" by Susan Minot. I love tragic romance novels (not Harlequin novels), so please let me know which ones you would recommend. Thanks!

  2. romeo and juliet is a tragic love novel shakespeare made a play about it the summary is two lovers falling in love and dies tragically it may be one of the best tragic love novel story even though I have never red it I recommend you read it you may find it to be sad later on when the two lovers die called star crossed lovers
