What is the best train sim to get if I want to be able to drive an amtrak P42 Genesis and run Amtrak routes?

I want to get a train sim game that has the Amtrak routes and has the P42 locomotive on it. Does this exist and which one is the best?

Trainz does a good one if you have a good computer to run it.  Mine doesn't but I played it on a friend's comp.  Very realistic and you can drive a GP-30/35 up to the modern Evolution locomotive by GE.  

Very good program, this coming from a mechanic that services them all presently.  I have driven them all, the GP's pick up their speed quick, compared to the Evo's that have the high horsepower with less cylinders, but those new locos are so quiet and fuel efficient.  Very nice program.

Well, I bought EA's "Rail Simulator" and wasn't terribly impressed.

From what I've READ though, Microsoft's "Train Simulator II" will be spectacular... it will use their "Flight Simulator" world-database, so you'll be able to run on ALL the tracks in the USA.  I'll be buying THAT !!

I want to run CalTrain and ACE routes.

Frist you need to buy the Mocrosoft train sim, and then visit the add-on sites like Train-sim dot com or the sites 3Dtrainstuff dot com that have routes like the Telachapi Pass route II The Cajon Pass route is a good one to with Amtrak. Check it out.
