The best type of business for a web site would depend on what you think is best.  So many different things out there, you need to find something that is and will always be in high demand.  Some businesses require a license and some don't. The ones that don't from experience are easier to maintain.  All you have to do is collaborate with a corporation and sale their products either on line or in a traditional store or by yourself.  The best way I think is best is to simply run the business from your home, via Internet and telephone.  In my opinion, the best type of business for a web site would be in the telecommunications industry.
