  1. For children I recommend Syrian hamsters. I have both Syrian and dwarf hamsters. But dwarf hamsters are a lot more faster etc.

Syrians are easier to handle and tame easier :)

  2. a chinese dwarf hamster

  3. i think a teddy bear would b the best!

Dwarfs may look so small and cute but then they are that much more fragile and they like to bite alot.

I have had my teddy bear hamster for two years and he has never ever bitten me plus they are good climbers so they are so much fun to watch and play with!!!

Whatever u get hope u luv it!!!

  4. no they wont be able to hold them. I work at Petsmart...i suggest a guinea pig. They are much easier to hold and wont bite. Hamsters are evil

  5. i would say a syrian hamster.  they are very gentle and the one i have has never bitten me or even nipped me even when i startled him.  i had a lot of dwarf hamsters and most of them from the pet store had a very nasty temperament.  the nicest dwarf hamsters i had were the babies that got used to being handled.  we had many litters of hamsters!

  6. I've only ever owned teddy bear hamsters, but think they are a great little pet.

They don't mind being handled, are easy to care for, and mine never bit me or the kids.

  7. I wouldent get a dwarf hamster i have heard that they bit more than any other hamster. I have had short hair teddy bear hamsters and they are sooooooo sweet and fun. Also balck shorthair hamsters (don't know the actual name) are sweet and fun to. I had both.

  8. ya thats a great choice but when he gets old feed him to a snake and put him out of his misery.

  9. I would a say teddy bear hamster.
