What is the best type of inflatable kayak?

I am trying to buy inflatable kayaks to go on short trips with the family. I have little experience in these matters and the choice and price seems bewildering I am looking for good value but not the cheapest nastiest lilo on the river

  1. Try going to Northwest River Supply at nrsweb.com.  They have a pretty good lineup of a couple different brands.  The Aire is one of the best on the market and cost quite a bit more that some of the Tributarys and the Tomcats, but all of them are high in quality.  Good luck and paddle safe!!


  2. Get the hard plastic ones that dont sink or fill with water.

  3. you can have a choice of a plastic most modern playboats are made of royal lex plastic it is hard wearing.  Or as in your question some inflatable types.  depending on your needs a good inflatable is by the following:
