What is the best type of men's underwear?

This is a opinion question obviously but I was wondering what other people thought. I am 19 and I wear briefs. I think they are the most comfortable and they are also very hot in my opinion, that is of course when they are worn by the right people. (I am a lean and fit teenager with a swimmers build.) What does everyone else think? Include ages too please.

My bf prefers boxer briefs. He's 33. He says microfiber ones  are the most comfortable.

I wore briefs when I was in middle school.  Then moved to boxers but now I go commando / freeball.
