  1. The University of Adelaide and Santos Limited realise the importance of scholarships to many who will seek to study petroleum engineering.  They provide recognition and encouragement to talented students and allow access to degree programs for some who may otherwise be unable to undertake tertiary education.

Santos has provided a substantial sum as a basis for scholarship awards.  The value of the scholarships is $40,000 over four years.  The scholarships also include the possibility of vacation work for students in the summer breaks.  Applicants of the Bachelor of Engineering (Petroleum Engineering) or combined degree that includes the Bachelor of Engineering (Petroleum Engineering) program of study at the University of Adelaide will be invited by the School to apply for a Santos Scholarship.  Eligibility for the scholarships is assessed on TER score and an interview, and offers are made to those who qualify on the basis of merit and need.

    John F Kennedy Memorial Scholarship

This Scholarship is open to students who are Australian citizens or permanent residents of Australia and undertaking a Bachelor of Engineering (Petroleum Engineering) or combined degree that includes the Bachelor of Engineering (Petroleum Engineering) program of study at the University of Adelaide.  Students should be undertaking the fourth year of a single degree in Bachelor of Engineering (Petroleum Engineering) or final year of the relevant double degree and undertaking study on a full time basis as a Commonwealth Supported student.

Selection for this scholarship will be made based on the criteria of demonstrated entrepreneurship, community involvement, innovation and academic merit.

    SPE Scholarships

The Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) (South Australian Section) also offers a number of scholarships, with preference being given to South Australian undergraduate students.
