What is the best upgrade from pokemon red or blue?

if you have a ds, the most recent! diamond or pearl. :) platinum is coming out next year, too. and that will be even better.

if you're playing on a gba or an sp, the next version is silver/gold. after that is crystal. then there's sapphire and ruby for sp, then emerald. finally, there's firered and leafgreen.
