What is the best value surround sound system I can buy in the UK?

Hi, I don't know a lot about surround sound systems, but I have a HD TV and a PS3 and I am looking for a surround sound system to hook these up to, but I really don't want to spend a fortune - anyone know any good deals or exactly what I should be looking for before I buy? Thanks.
