What is the best video digital camera?

The best digital video cameras start at around $3500 ... so you don't want any of those.

I have seen some in the $200 range (mini-DV) on sale, but from a discontinued model ... any decent current model will cost you over $300.

There are a few P&S cameras that have YouTube quality video as a feature, but they only produce images that are 640 x 480 @ 30 fps with no control over the white balance or exposure (other than automatic)
