  1. my personal preference is the Tachikara brand. When I started playing, that's what everybody used - and they're really quite nice balls.

I particularly like that when the get a little bit of use, the leather seems to age nicely - but still have a good feel for playing with.

Make sure you get a genuine leather ball - and not some cheap plastic or rubberized piece-o-junk.

  2. i'd say mikasa baecause they are more widely used for indoor sports. There used for Junior Olympics, college. high school, and i belive the olympics as well.

  3. I'd go with Flint.  For indoor use, you can't go wrong with Tachikara.  They have set the standard for indoor use balls.  They do age well and will last several years, if taken care of.

For outdoor balls, I prefer Spalding, even though the tour has gone to Wilson.  Mikasa also makes a fair outdoor ball.

    Good Luck!

  4. Wilson.  Not only a great volleyball to practice with, Wilson is a great friend, if stranded on an island.
