Question:

What is the best wash cloth to buy in terms of durability?

I'm sick of Wal-mart and Big Lots washcloths that fall apart after 2 washings. I don't care about thickness or color--just something that can last a year or more.

  1. If you've got a Costco near, their "hotel" bundle of white Cannon washcloths is reasonably priced and durable.

Or go for even more durable... squares of linen fabric, hemmed.    You'll want something about 6-8 oz per yard.  And make sure it's real linen, not a blend or "linen look".  You really don't need a terry cloth weave to get clean.

http://www.fabrics-store.com is a possible source.  Linen is a very strong and abrasion-resistant, nearly lintless fabric that is stronger wet than dry.
