I have confirmed that there are chloramines in my local water supply and after much research I have discovered that water conditioners that can remove chloramine actually release ammonia into the water before it's ever even met the fish. And with a fishbowl that must be bad news since it can't break it down like an established tank. I also hope to be able to use an ammonia test kit accurately in the presence of water treatment. I can't simply get the fish a tank either because it's actually property of my work and it's in a location that no power cords can be extended to. I've asked my boss already and was told that a swich to a tank is out of the question. So what kind of water should I use and what should I put in it? The fish is a betta by the way and I treat it as my own.

  1. You could use a bottle of spring water or use tap water but u have to add water conditioner.  you can buy this at any petstore by you. Sometimes they have one just recommended for betta's

  2. use the normal water from the sink and add aqua safe water conditioner or stress coat to it to remove  the chlorine from the water
