  1. Start your homework as soon as you get it so your work is never rushed. Pay attention, and ask a lot of questions. Also, try to go 'above and beyond' in your assignments - if you're supposed to write an essay that shows 3 ways that poem X is similar to poem Y or something like that, show 4 ways. Add an extra paragraph, more evidence, etc. Show the teacher that you actually put effort in and didn't just speed through it.

  2. Probably you are between 6th and 12th grade.  Regardless the best way is to:

    -  Take good notes in class, be certain that you know what the teachers want for homework.

    -  Have a place at home for you to do homework that is private, no TV, and arranged to your liking.  Set up the furniture so that it's comfortable and is "your space", no interruptions unless you want someone there, turn off your cell phone, low music, and promise yourself that you  will accomplish so many tasks before taking a beak.  Try to keep your homework area organized with most everything in the same place all the time.

    -  Maintain a schedule that you will do homework right after school or right after dinner or whatever.  Sometimes you'll be done quickly, other times you will be up late but that's the way it goes with homework.  Reward yourself when you've a good job.  Good luck.  Being organized and sticking to a schedule will help you a lot.

  3. First of all, very refreshing to see a question like this posted, especially after I just finished pleading with a 16 yr old to reconsider dropping out of school.

    Anyways!

To be head of the class, maintain eye contact with the teacher during lecture, take notes through out the class to review later on.  Use flash cards to prep for tests. Find a study buddy, who is as serious as you are about doing well. Lastly, Go to bed early!   : )

    Good luck!

  4. I always found that it was helpful to take good notes and to review over all notes and handouts every night. When it comes to test time you will not have to try to cram all the information because you have properly studied and retained it. It may sound elementary but flash cards can be helpful. When I could, I used these in college and maintained a 4. GPA in the subjects that I did flash cards for. Also, if time allows review your notes prior to going into class so you are prepared and you can ask any questions that you may have about the previous class.

I did better in college than in high school by implementing these strategies.

  5. make sure you listen in class and if you don't understand anything make sure you ask and get help - any work you do make sure you read through in case there are any errors you can pick up on that would lose you marks eg spellings.  when you're at home you could research things that you are working on in class - for example if you were working on different artist's in a class then at home you could do some of your own research on the Internet and that way in the next class you may already know some of the things they teacher is talking about.  and remember it is possible to over work yourself so do have breaks every so often to give your brain a rest and have fun!!

  6. A lot of hard work and time by yourself!

  7. you have to study every given subject day by day , work hard and    organise your time and you will success
