  1. Here are the steps you should take:

    1. Sign up for a beginner's class.

    2. Meet some friends (LIVE, not online) who would be willing to hang out with you. Sometimes, it's good enough for you just to be around people speaking Spanish. You don't have to necessarily attempt to speak (you'll do that in class), but eventually, you start being able to pick out words and basic phrases in the conversation that you've learned in class.

    3. Start reading children's books. Children's books are a great source of basic vocabulary. You'll also be able to see verbs in action: verbs conjugated in the present, past, or future tenses. Later, move up to newspapers, comic books, magazines, and then novels.

    4. Get your favorite movie and watch it several times this way:

      a. English with Spanish subtitles

      b. Spanish with English subtitles

      c. Spanish with Spanish subtitles (by this time, you will have an idea of what was said, which will help with the translation)

      d. Spanish with no subtitles.

Repeat this process with several other movies.

    5. Listen to the radio sometimes in Spanish. You won't understand much at first, but with time and practice, you'll start to hear a few words here and there.

    6. Sleep with the TV on in Spanish. I personally believe that this helped me as I was learning. I did it for a year.

    7. If you're single, find a girlfriend or boyfriend that speaks Spanish (preferably somebody who ONLY speaks Spanish). Being around that person every second of the day will cut your learning time in half.

    8. Watch the news in Spanish.

the best way is lesson with a native speaker but these may be

    too expensive.

  7. You can exchange conversation with native speakers

you teach english, you learn spanish.

if you are lucky, you can even find a pen pal next your home, and speak face-to-face

you can try this page, but there are lots of them

    http://www.mylanguageexchange.com/

i learnt english by watching films subtitled in english (reading and listening at the same time helps a lot to learn accents and pronunciation)

  8. There is a website that has tons of resources at http://www.learn-podcast-spanish.com/spa...

I like it because they teach you tons of phrases that are most common among native speakers. If you want to learn to speak Spanish then that's the way to go because you'll know what is common to hear among other native speakers.
