What is the best way of putting up purple hull peas?

After you shell them get a kettle of water to boilin throw em in then take em out put em in ice water till they are cooled off.. Spread em (the peas that is) on a big ole towel. Run through them till they are ready to be put in freezer bags.  Mind you get them dried off then pack em in freezer bags.. Sorry couldnt think of nuttin funny. I take my purple hulls serious.

my mom always froze them and dried them for storage, she never caned them that i know of
