take to a scrap metal dealer and get money by weight,remove as much solder and other debris as possible to get the best price

If you're actually looking for the technique with which it is recycled, I don't know. But copper prices are so high right now that all scrap metal guys want it.

Just look in the phone book under "scrap," in your newspaper's classified ads or search for "scrap" on you local Craig's List site. You'll be sure to find someone who wants to buy it from you.
