  1. A spray called Seven. I use it, it works great!

  2. spray them with vinegar and water.

  3. The garlic and vinegar sounds like a salad dressing, but they are both good temporary alternatives.

In the meantime, get yourself a can of Milky Spore powder.  It takes a while to work, but once it kicks in it will eliminate J. Beetle now and for years to come.  Oh, and did I mention that it's organic?

  4. garlic and seven dust! or get a beetle bag and hang close to that area!

  5. Garlic. Plant it around them or spray it with some kind of garlic spray.

  6. I don't know what to use once you've got them - but I used to plant garlic around my roses - the grubs (which become beetles) don't llike it and it prevented them from getting on the roses.

  7. I use all natural remedies in my garden when ever possible.

On my roses I make a mixture of water and a few drops of regular dish soap the cheap stuff,  with  about 1/4 teaspoon baking soda and the same amount of oil. Spray on plants once a day until you see no more beetles, then maintain it about once a week. I have Japanese beetles all over my yard but not on my roses.

I use a regular spray about a quart. I know this is a little vague but there are so many home remedies and amounts, here is a link below with more information.

I don't think I would use vinegar on my roses. Vinegar kills weeds.

  8. Plant WHITE Geraniums in between your roses, for some reason this kills them, not sure why but it does
