What is the best way should I wire my twin voice coil subwoofer?

The amp that it is getting wired to has 2 x 100W RMS channels and I think it is only 4 ohms stable when bridged.

Is it best to run a separate channel of the amp to each coil in mono, or bridge the two channels (1 x 200wRMS) and connect it to the two voice coils in series (8 ohms).

  1. It depends on wehat the voice couils of the sub are. you should bridge the amp channels addnm then run the sub in series. if you have the money buy another sub exactly the same and run the sub voice coils in series and the two subs together in parallel which will make a 4 ohm load for the amp.
