What is the best way to advertise your services as a paranormal investigative team?

I'm the founder of a fledging group in NC - www.hauntedsandhills.com and am wondering how best to get my groups name out. If anyone belongs to or has successfully started their own group I'd love to hear from you.

Well, this question is one way of advertising.

You should go to psychic fairs.  Also, a yellow pages ad wouldn't hurt.

Commericals on tv, in magazines, newspaper, bulletin boards & by word of mouth. Get some business cards made & put them on bulletin boards & such.

Here's what I did with the FVPS: we built our website, made some flyers, and got interviewed on the radio and local newspapers.

make a website, get group members to post photos and report on your latest ghost hunting.  also let others know how the investigation finished up.  remember it is not just about proving or disproving the existence of life after death.  it is about helping those trapped in the in between place.  also you might get a local newspaper to do an interest piece on it. sometimes those local papers have a community calendar.  you can put your meeting dates there.

Start a meet up group at meetup.com. Before  organizing a meetup you should be able to see who is interested and I bet you will be surprised at the amount of people who want a meetup in your area.

I also started my own Paranormal Investigation group and the way I got the news out about our new group was to talk to anybody in line at a store.  I talk to just about everybody about what I do and you just make it look like your carrying on an everyday conversation and I have people ask me for our business card, people are interested in the Paranormal, I have talked to several cops who tell me what they see going on especially at cemeteries and I always end up with their name and E-Mail address and we have 15 that come along with us when we do and investigation.

     We have 2 County Road Signs now and they were put into a pretty well driven area.  Those signs carry our name in large letters.  We have had the Ann Arbor Chamber of Commerce find us through a Historical Society Museaum in another Village.  So, they asked us to please let them advertise for us and we will be doing investigations now for places in Ann Arbor.  I left the other group because they were faking EVPs and other things and I do not want to lie to people.

      So, I got together with people that other people I had just talked to and they wanted to join an honest and a good Paranormal Group.

We never lie to anyone that we have done investigations for and word travels fast if you are honest.  If there is nothing there we look for answers to help explain why they are feeling this or hearing that.  If there is something there we always give them copies of all the eveidence that we have gotten.

     We are now considered successful.  It was just by doing honest work and just talking to any and everyone we met.  For us that is what gave us our break. I have been myself blessed by 4 priests and then the group is blessed.  I have also been told where there are evil places and to stay away and that included cemeteries. Of course I had to find out about one of the cemeteries and they were not lying.  I know better now to listen to others who do know what they are talking about.

     We will be re-investigating a Mansion that we got a full body apparition and 2 others that were behind her and next to her.  They were males of course and the board for this Mansion

E-Mailed me to ask us to come back so we have for this place 2 more dates set up for this Mansion.  This place was also a big part of the Underground Railroad.  So, just put yourself out there and talk to store clerks, ones waiting in lines.  And always be honest.
