  1. May be this site can help you

  2. This university's success is based on the success of their students who thoughtfully choose them and who do well at the academics, and who go on to use their degree successfully.  Think about this when you structure your answer.  They want to know if you and they are the right fit.

Before you write your essay, think about answers to these questions:

Do they offer courses you can really use towards your academic goals?

There are more than several on-line universities around the world, but you are choosing this one.  Why?  What does it have the others don't have?

You could get a job without a degree, but you are choosing to get a degree.  How will a degree help you?

Your best answer will tell them something about you, and then match you up with what you know they offer.

"I have always wanted to work in the ___ field, since my first exposure to it when (short story).  Studying for a ___ degree will prepare me for starting a career in ___.  I chose this university for ___# of reasons.  First, ___ Univ. offers a variety of courses .......

    Second,

    etc.

    GOOD LUCK!!!

  3. you have to say more than that definetly. try to make it more macro, like getting a good education is improtant not only in finding a great career, but also honing my mental faculties. due to certain reasons (state them) I have to continue living at home. this Univ gives me the oppurtunity to get a first class education without having to relocate.

  4. Talk about how much you enjoy business, what you like about it and what made you want to pursue that degree.  Your academic goals would be what you want to achieve in college, what type of GPA you would like to achieve, what scholastic groups, clubs you would like to join or volunteer for.  Stat why you feel you need a degree, not just because you have to get one to get a job, talk about how you feel it would help you succeed in your job.  What interests you most about an on-line university...you could mention things like you are very good at time management and working on your own.  You could mention the fact that so much of business life these days is computer/internet based that you feel their on line university would help prepare you for that environment.

  5. Have you ever taken a course online before?  If you have had a good experience with a previous online course, you could discuss that - what you learned about yourself, how you learned to manage your time and discipline yourself to meet course deadlines when there was no classroom to go to or an instructor looking you in the eye.

FYI - many people find online courses to be much, MUCH more difficult than classes taught in traditional classroom settings.

If you're a working mom, your motivations for seeking an online college will not be the same motivations as, say, a person with a liberal arts degree who needs to complete a business degree now, or a person with considerable business experience who needs to finish a bachelor's degree or get his master's in order to get a promotion or a new job.

Think about why you don't want to go to a traditional college:

    - Taking 1 or 2 night classes per semester means you won't finish a bachelor's degree for 8 to 10 years.

    - You have to tie up your evenings or weekends for class time, with no variations in schedule when you run into real-life conflicts, like a business trip or a family emergency or something as simple as your son's basketball tournament or your daughter's starring role in the school play.

    - You have to drive to class, get to campus early enough to find parking, then walk from that parking to your building, then back to your car later.  A 75-minute class can turn into a 3-hour ordeal when you add in the commute, the parking, and the walk.

    - Even in night classes, you run into a high percentage of unmotivated students whose attitudes and lack of preparedness slow down the entire class.

And then you could mention the advantages of online - doing the readings and assignments on your own schedule; having a less rigid schedule for participation; disciplining yourself to meet participation, assignment, and exam deadlines; participating with other adults who have a higher degree of motivation to participate; expanding your professional contacts with every class you take and every group of students you interact with.

I hope some of those will help you get started.  I've taken a couple of online courses before and loved them, but I could never do an entire degree that way.  I'm one of those people who enjoys the face-to-face interaction with professors and other students.
