Does it just depend on the company i.e. using a variety of methods

Going around into the store and asking directly- I've tried this and it hurts getting rejected

Over the phone- Proved to be the most sucessfull as if rejected at least it's not done face to face. If there is a vaccancy I thats when I go to the store to either hand in my C.V or fill out an application form

By email- Seems to have been least sucessfull as recruiters probably get lots

By letter- A new method I have just started to use. Do not know if it'll be sucessfull though

If you have a job in retail you must know what is the most sucessfull way

Any other ways?

P.S I just want a part time job as I am still in college. Also bear in mind that I live in London.

  1. You live in London. There are loads of jobs. Just keep looking. Try using the web and something will come up. Just keep your chin up and keep trying. Good luck.

  2. well i would say besides all the general tips....

show up wearing something nice they sell, show them how good you look in it, and how eager you are to share their products to the public.....

  3. in person

  4. I would register with agencies in London that specialise in retail work, you can search for them on the net, they may be able to find you work.

Or - Most of the big retailers will have an application form you can fill in.  They would normally give one to you in store if you ask.

  5. " Kiosk"
