  1. I think vocab is one of the easiest things to study for. Meaning that you could be the dumbest person and still knock off words a day but not understand the reading passages. Knowing your vocab is between someone who is lazy and someone who is dilligent.

I recieved a 2050 for my SAT and I got 2 sentence completion questions wrong out of 19, which is NOT good, I'll admit but I did know my vocab. Anyway, what I did to prepare was to memorize 50 words a day over the summer. Then I got to review them after a week. So from Monday-Friday I'd memorize a total of 250 words, then on Saturday I went over all of the 250 words and made sure I knew them cold. Then on Sunday I just took a break, because really I'm not a big fan of all work and no play.

Anyway don't be so concerned about vocab!

  2. get a book called

"Critical Reading for the New SAT" by barrons

there is a section for all the common vocabs in SAT

memorize them all and you'll be quite set off

  3. theres a book called The Wizard of Oz Vocabulary Builder and its basically just a regular book of the familiar to everyone story, but it includes all the sat vocab words in context and the definitions r on the bottom of the page. I read it and got a 740 on the verbal which was more then ok with me
