What is the best way to be the star student?

i am in high school and i want to get into a good college. I am pretty smart but i want to be even better in school!

1)  If you are allowed to choose your own seat in class,  try to sit up front.  Teachers love that.  It makes you look eager, and helps you avoid distractions from other students,

2)  Always be prepared -- do your homework, ahead of time if possible.

3)  Ask questions in class.  It doesn't make you look ignorant, it makes you look interested.

These are good for college classrooms as well as highschool.

Do after school activities if your school has a debate team or something join that and you can always ask you teachers what they think you could do. Also if your into sports or band do that through the rest of high school you could get a good scholarship also apply for grants they could really help you.
