  1. practice practice practice sleep eat lift weights practice practics sleep eat practicce KICKK SOMEE *** BABBY!!!!!

  2. ditto to bb boy...practice and more practice..repetition is the mother to skill.  punching power comes from the ground up via kinetic linkage not from upper body strength.  continue to strength train but incorporate some serious stretching into your training program.  the more relaxed a muscle is at rest the more force it can generate.

  3. 1. Conditioning, duh.

    2. Meditation, the mind is half the battle.

    3. Fight opponents who are better than you as much as possible. They'll force you through limitations you don't even know you have.

  4. sign up for tiger schulmans or some other mixed martial arts class and work on your speed...your not that i know im about your height so speed will be key to get faster use weights when training and work on flexiblity,

and working out at the gym will probly wont help you much. that gives you muscle but u need endurance if you wanna last a few minutes with someone who is equal to u..so do cardio and other things like that running

bottom line best way to improve your fighting is to do a mma class it teaches you the basics, ground fighting, submissions, how to get out of chokes and holds

  5. I'd suggest you stretch, as if you stretch, your flexibility can grow so much more than like stagnant muscles.  If I were you, you should ask your coach for better prcatice, try the speedball for eye-hand coordination, practice yoga (i know it sucks) and try focusing on one thing, WINNING THE FIGHT!

  6. get a punching bag?

  8. This isn't a very difficult question: To become a better fighter, you have to fight. It's simple. Replace it with something else... For instance, dancing. If you want to be a better dancer, you dance... Now, say you get tired of stepping on your partners feet, but still want to be a better dancer... Do you give up? No, you find a trainer. Same with fighting.

Just fighting with no training means you fight naturally, which is good because it means you fight according to how you understand your body. Now, if you just keep fighting, you'll eventually improve some, but you could develop bad habits or keep less than effective habits. So a [good] instructor will look at your technique, then help you refine it. Unfortunately, most say, "Do it like this." The only way to overcome the biggest obstacle -- that is, your fear of getting hit -- is to get used to being hit and feeling the adrenaline rush. After a while, the effects get milder, much like a habitual drug user.
