What is the best way to become a shift-lead at starbucks?

I worked at starbucks before but i'm going back. I've only worked the barista position.

Be a really good barista, know youre stuff without having to look it up or think about it. Be able to train/teach others. Be available for the hours they need. Show initiative. I was an assisstant mangaer at a Daily Grind coffee chain for a while, it was a pretty chill work place but not enough money so I quit. Mostly just be able to show your employer that you take the job seriously, and tell them, I want to become a shift-manager.

The MOST important thing is to TALK TO YOUR MANAGER. They will have no idea that you want to be promoted if you don't ask. You also have a better chance at being a shift because you have been a barista already. You just have to show initiative and desire. Definitely know your stuff and TALK TO YOUR MANAGER. lol. you gotta work up to it. but i would be vocal about wanting to be any sort of leader to your boss or your currnet shift leader.

it takes time

you have to talk to the manager

it took me a year to get promoted...

you would probably have to work as a barista for awhile...

it all depends on your work ethics...
