What is the best way to begin a running program?

I am looking at starting a running program, and i was wondering may things, like what type of foods I should be eatting, and how to actually start running, I am not as fit as I could be and I am holding a bit of weight, It would be great to hear from someone to help me in the right direction

  1. eat healthy. You will need carbs so that u have the energy to run. dont drink soft drink coz even though u get the sugar kick 4 half an hour or so its stops your body from easily absorbing water.

    and dont start off trying to run further than wat ur capable of. Work you way up. Run the distance u can but add a little further. so say you can run 400m run an extra 100m to push urself that bit further

    as far as eating..just eat healthy but DO NOT starve yourself and drink LOTSLOTS of water always!
