  1. Plastic worms are excellent.  You can Texas-rig them and they won't hang up.  I like twitching a Super Fluke around structure like logs, rocks, and brush.  A 3"-4" curly tail grub will work well, too.

You might try live minnows.  Bass are predators, and will eat a live minnow before almost anything else.

Always fish around structure.  Bass hide there for protection, and to ambush smaller fish that swim by.  Have fun.

  2. Long plastic worm, about 3-4 inches is awesome!

You may be surprised, but they like the dark colors!

    Here's how you jig it:

Let it sink, not to the bottom, but a little bit.

Pull, then reel, pull, reel.  While you're reeling in the slack from the pull, it'll sink, annoying the bass.

The only reason bass eat what you're luring is because it's annoying them, NOT because they're hungry

  3. A plastic worm is good as well live bait(minows and worms) and other lures. The trick is to place your bait in the area where the fish feeds, at the time the fish feeds and have your bait move like what the fish normally feeds on.

  4. Ask what kind of bait the successful fishermen are using.

Your local sporting goods store should be able to tell you.
