  1. Sems about everyone has this covered..but I just wanted to say hello..from Panama City!!.I see you live here too

  2. I think you could try using baking soda and vinegar with water, and just get a vinyl floor cleaner from a nearby store- HOPE IT HELPS :)

  3. Use some hot soapy water with a hint of bleach. Then I would use some murphy's mop oil to give it the luster shine that will last for some days.

  4. Actually you can use just about anything to clean vinyl floors, provided you rinse with clean water to prevent possible dulling from detergents. I would avoid ammonia though as I have found it prematurely dulls the top coating.

Sam's club sells a great all purpose floor cleaner (ProForce) that doesn't require rinsing. I have used it with great results on hardwood, vinyl and ceramic floors. It is economical too at $4.26 for a gallon (lasts forever since it is a concentrate).

By the way, I think your new floor is sharp, and best of all no grout lines to clean and discolor!^

  5. It really depends on what's on it.  Regular dirt shouldn't take more than a damp mop and pine-sol or any smell good stuff.

However, sometimes the glue seeps up in the cracks or scuff marks from black rubber soled shoes, these will take a bit of elbow grease with comet or ajax.  If you really want to clean them up fast, grab you a razor blade scraper and use the edge with the top standing straight up.  Be careful though, adull blade works the best, it doesn't cut easily.

  6. Bleach and Murphy's oil soap.

  7. armstrong floor cleaner~its the best

  8. I advocate natural products wherever possible.  Also this does not harm toddlers, pets or bare feet.  Vacuum/sweep to pick up bits and dust.  Then mix half cup vinegar with half bucket of water, and mop or hand wipe the floor.  Stubbourn marks can be tackled with bi-carb neat on a cloth, then mop over afterwards. For a fresh smell, you could spritz some diluted lemon and mop at the end if not keen on the vinegar. I think the floor is good as no cracks for grime and germs, how about a nice bright rug to distract from the overall look if you dont want to replace it?

  9. hot soapy water and a scrubbing brush, after first good scrub, you can mop weekly
