  1. Vacuum

  2. This is everyone's problem and nightmare. Make sure all power is off first, then vacuum. Next what I do, is take a cotton clothe and spray some 409 or Fantastic spray on it and work it in between the keys. In real bad situations I've turned it upside down, and then sprayed it upside down, and wiped. After like, 23 years doing this, I've never found an exact way to do it without some risk. I've only lost one I think or maybe two. I think one of those I took apart and dried out and it started to work. If you take them apart you see how accident prone they are. The spray can seep down in and get in all kinds of places to cause problems. An anti-static spray cleaner does pretty good to. If you spill a sticky drink on it just toss it, and look at Good Will or the Salvation Army for a replacement if you're short on cash. Good luck. I'll watch to see what other people say, just in case I missed something.

  3. Buy a can of air, you can spray that into the cracks to get crumbs out.  This works better on a regular kb then a laptop kb.  With the power off, take a washcloths, wet it with hot water and wring all the water out of it.  Then rub it on the keys.  Wait at least an hour after to put your laptop back on.  Depending on your laptop, some have removable keys, you can remove them and wash them if this is the case on yours.  Google your brand/model for instructions.

  4. First, Make Sure All The Powers Off =]

Then Get A Slightly Damp Cloth And Just Keep Rubbing It Against The Keyboard

    Hope This Helps!
