  1. Math. d+T = speed

  2. use a stopwatch. make the R/C car drive a certain distance, and clock how long it takes to reach the end.

  3. You need a precisely measured test course and an accurate stopwatch. After that, it's simple arithmetic. You should do multiple trials and average the results .

    Cheers

  4. speed equals distance over time

  5. measure out like 10 feet, then time how long it takes to go ten feet.

    Divide feet by seconds.

so it if takes 10 seconds to go ten feet, it goes 1 foot/sec.

  6. just dont do it.

  7. A measured course and a stop watch.

Get the feet per second multiply times 60. Multiply by 60 again. Divide by 5280 and you will get miles per hour.

    100 feet in 2 seconds = 50 feet in 1 second

    50 X 60 = 3000 feet per minute

    3000 X 60 = 180000 feet per hour

    180000 / 5280 = 34.09 miles per hour

The longer the run, the more accurate the result.

  8. Hm.  Maybe set up a straight course that's, say, 10 feet long, or 50 feet long, or whatever, a nice even number.  Then, run the car and time how long it takes to get from the beginning to the end.  Then, you can figure out feet per second and extrapolate to miles per hour (you could actually do the math, or you could plug it into Google).
