What is the best way to connect two TV to one DVD player ?

I want to connect two tv to one dvd player so that I can watch the same movie on both screens. The tv are located on different side of the room.

  1. while cable splitters will work to a certain extent, you will probably lose some signal quality and thats probably not the way that you want to go.

    You can get a Distribution amplifier online or in a local radio shack if they carry them.  Thats typically how stores have one source playing through all the TVs on display for sale.  Look for a distribution amplifier that uses either composite or Component video and audio for the best solution.


  2. Go to Radio Shack and buy 3 RCA cable splitters.  These are cables that have a plug on one end, and then 2 connectors, like a giant "Y".  Also, pick up a set of long RCA cables - you can get them in 25' or 50' lengths, which should be plenty for your needs.

    Then simply connect to your TVs as normal.  Use the long cables for the TV on the other side of the room from the DVD player.  A set of normal RCA cables should be fine for the TV near the DVD player.
